One of my colleagues who owns a 500 fortune online marketing company had a bad experience involving a new worker he hired and a damage that could have been prevented if he only used Zalman FTP 2010.
It all began when a new programmer was hired in order to help the company cope with a sudden overload of tasks and new projects. One day, without paying attention, this young programmer has accidently overwritten one of the most critical files of the web infrastructure.
As a result the company’s clients, suddenly and without any notice, could not access their online assets and the operator was flooded with calls.
The owner of the company was bewildered and started a check up in order to locate the source of this malfunction. All the company’s employees were urgently summoned, asked to try and solve the problem.
After hours of nerves racking investigation, the sad truth was revealed - not only that the critical file was overwritten but worst than that, there was no backup of the file. Apparently the programmer has accidently overwritten the file with the right name but in the wrong directory.
It had taken more than two days to compile the file from sketch, working in twenty four hours shifts, and according to my friend, it was one of the worst days that he had ever encountered. In a conversation we held later on he confessed that he simply cannot believe the circumstances and the sequence of events that caused him to loose in one day the reputation he’s been working on for years.
I just smiled and told him that I have the exact solution to his problem. The answer for such scenarios is given by a new product we’ve been developing for the past year called Zalman FTP.
During the time I was an employee of several Hi-tech companies, I was always wondering, how come the action of overwriting a file is so easy in production (with no backup every produce) and why none of the files are logged?
If a malfunction occurs there is no way to track the change and the person who is responsible for making the changes, moreover what was the purpose of the change? After a process of examining all common FTP clients available in the market (I have downloaded more than 73 clients), I came to the conclusion that no FTP client can answer these issues. For this reason I have developed Zalman FTP.
Let me first introduce to you my project – Zalman FTP client 2010: It connects to all FTP servers, you can view history of all changes made on site, it has visual file comparison feature build in and also it incorporates new a FTP technology and most important it is easy, secure & Lightning Fast!
